After more than a year and a half spent at home, US travelers can finally begin planning their long-awaited European vacations—and make the most of their time abroad by booking longer trips.
For those looking to cover a lot of ground on their extended holiday without a lot of work, Star Clippers’ Grand Voyages range from 11 to 19 days and carry guests to exotic ports in multiple countries in the Mediterranean, all onboard an authentic tall sailing ship.
Guests booking select 2022 Grand Voyage by July 31, 2021 will receive a $1,000 per cabin air credit and 2 complimentary shore excursions. Offer is valid for residents of North, Central and South America only.
The casual pace of these signature Grand Voyages translates into more time to explore the ports large and small, walk amongst ancient ruins, appreciate the panoramic views, and revel in the culinary delights of the region. These extended itineraries visit an impressive collection of ports, from the tiny islets of the Greek Isles to the fairytale towns dotting the Italian coast.
All three of Star Clippers’ authentic sailing vessels will be offering Grand Voyages for the 2022 season.
Sailing enthusiasts will want to be onboard the 221-passenger Royal Clipper for her 14-night sailing from Cannes round trip in September, which features an in-depth look at ports in the French Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia, including a chance to check out the not-to-be missed St Tropez Regatta.
Star Flyer is offering a 15-night sailing from Malaga, Spain to Athens, visiting the Balearic Islands, Malta, Sardinia, Sicily and several hidden gems in the Greek Islands. Those interested in the Western Med can opt for a 19-night itinerary between Malta and Las Palmas, where they can discover a diverse yet amazing variety of intimate and more-known ports in the Malta, Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands.
Sister ship Star Clipper will join in the revelries of Grand Voyages beginning in 2022, with 12- to 14-night sailings in the Western Mediterranean, sailing between Cannes and Rome. Ports include stops in the Amalfi Coast, Northern Italy’s Portoferraio/Elba and Portofino, as well as exquisite Bonifacio and Porticcio Beach in Corsica, Le Lavandou and St Tropez in the French Riviera and Monaco.
For more than 25 years, Star Clippers has been introducing travelers to the thrill of modern tall ship sailing to remote ports in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Indonesia and Far East.
The company operates three of the world’s largest and tallest sailing vessels: Star Clipper and Star Flyer are traditional clipper ships with modern amenities carrying 170 guests, while the 227-guest Royal Clipper holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest and only five-masted, full-rigged sailing ship in service today. All three ships have expansive teak decks, swimming pools, informal dining, convivial tropical bars on deck and piano lounges.
